hostin.tech audio lab / ring modulation instrument

Metallic motion, under control.

A customizable ring modulator for controlled tremolo, tuned sidebands, Laser-style sweeps, stereo movement, and repeatable chaos inside one focused plugin.

carrier 147.0 Hz
sideband energy 68%

Shape the carrier, then perform it.

Choose sine, triangle, square, saw, noise, or sample-and-hold carriers. Run them freely, lock them to host tempo, push them into audio-rate movement, then bend the result with Morph, Motion, Edge, drive, bias, fold, stereo phase, and filtering.

plugin interface

A control room for sidebands.

The current interface centers the sound: Ring Field metering, carrier controls, four modulation modes, macro performance controls, quick sound buttons, bass protection, and clip guard without leaving the main view.

Macro controls for Morph, Motion, Edge, quick sound buttons, and tone section
Performance macros Morph, Motion, Edge, and Clean, Laser, Droid, Wide buttons for repeatable automation moves.
Laser mode interface with tuned carrier, stereo spread, and bright sideband energy
Laser mode Tuned metallic sweeps with spread, fold, bias, and visible sideband energy.
Buffle Audio Ring modulation modes and carrier controls for Ring, AM, Tremolo, and Laser
Four modulation modes Ring, AM, Tremolo, and Laser share the same carrier engine, tone stage, stereo movement, bass protection, and clip guard controls.

See the sidebands

The Ring Field makes the multiplication legible: input, carrier, output, sideband energy, and tone heat on one surface.

Make chaos repeatable

Morph, Motion, Edge, sample-and-hold, and quick sound buttons turn extreme modulation into recallable production moves.

Studio-safe workflow

Dry/wet mix, output gain, bass protection, clip guard, low cut, high cut, and state recall keep aggressive sidebands usable in real sessions.

Available for macOS hosts.

The current v0.1.2 build ships Standalone, VST3, and AU formats for macOS. It includes the internal carrier engine, Ring Field visualizer, four modulation modes, macro controls, quick sound buttons, clip guard, automatable parameters, and state save/restore.
